Uluslararası Kredi Hareketliliği - KA171

International Credit Mobility – KA171

While the Erasmus KA131 program covers only the program countries (mainly in Europe), the KA171 program provides mobility opportunities with partner countries outside Europe.
Within this framework, students and academic staff from relevant departments can participate in exchange activities.
Mobility types include study and traineeship for students, and teaching or training mobility for staff.

The Erasmus KA171 program aims to enhance international cooperation between institutions, promote the exchange of academic and cultural experiences, and enable both students and staff to gain knowledge and skills in different parts of the world.
By building bridges with academic institutions outside Europe, the program contributes to improving the global quality of education and teaching.

Project Process

  • Each year, a project draft is prepared by academic staff from relevant departments and shared with the Erasmus Office.

  • The Erasmus Office consolidates departmental project requests into a single institutional project and finalizes the writing process together with departments.

  • The Erasmus Office submits the final proposal to the Turkish National Agency on behalf of the institution.

  • The project undergoes a quality and evaluation process. Student and staff mobility can be implemented only with partner countries that score 60 points or higher in the evaluation.

  • From approved and funded projects, student and staff mobilities are carried out with the respective departments.

  • The project includes both outgoing and incoming student and staff mobilities.

  • During the project implementation process, effective communication and coordination among academic units are essential.
All documentation and procedures related to each mobility activity must be handled with care.

  • Projects should be designed in line with the Erasmus objectives, ensuring budget planning, transparency, and institutional accountability.
