Staff Mobility for Teaching

What is this?
  • Staff teaching mobility is the field of activity that enables a staff member who is responsible for teaching at a higher education institution holding an ECHE in Turkey to teach students at a higher education institution holding an ECHE in one of the program countries and to carry out academic/educational activities related to teaching in partnership with the other institution.
  • Staff teaching activity is a day-based activity and grant payment is made for the days taught. Therefore, the teaching program must be specified on a day-by-day basis in the Staff Teaching Mobility Agreement (Staff Mobility for Teaching - Mobility Agreement).

Minimum and Maximum Periods
  • The duration of the activity for staff teaching mobility is determined as a minimum of 2 working days and a maximum of 2 months, excluding travel. However, in order for the activity to be considered a valid activity, it is mandatory to give at least 8 hours of lessons (per week). If it is determined that the staff has given less than the minimum number of hours, their activity is considered invalid and no grant payment is made.
  • The duration of the activity to be granted during this application period (with the condition that it is not less than the minimum duration of 2 days) may be determined by the Erasmus Selection Committee in order to ensure the effective use of the grant.

Quota
  • It is determined in each application period in line with the grant allocated to our university.
  • In order to ensure equality in each faculty/college/vocational school where the departments we have bilateral agreements with are located in our university, 1 quota has been allocated. In the ranking based on the academic units listed above, the score ranking in the evaluation criteria will be taken into account.
  • For academic unit quotas that have bilateral agreements but have not received any applications, all applications will be evaluated by ranking them according to their general score.

Section Bilateral Agreements
  • Only teaching staff with whom their department has a bilateral agreement can apply for this program.

Who can apply?
  • Those who meet the minimum required conditions,
  • Those who are obliged to teach in exchange for a position at our university,
  • Personnel who are not required to teach but are teaching cannot benefit from this mobility.

Minimum Requiremnets for Application
  • Being employed full/part time in a higher education institution with an ECHE in Turkey and being an actual staff member working in that institution.
  • There is no requirement for a position for personnel employed in a higher education institution; personnel who have a contract with a higher education institution can benefit from the activities.
  • Since there is no contract between the higher education institution and the personnel employed in the higher education institution through service procurement, these persons cannot benefit from personnel mobility.
